RBI Assistant 2016 : Reserve Bank of India, the Central Bank of India, recruits Assistants in its various zonal offices through an online competitive examination. The exam is conducted online nation-wide once each year. The next recruitment advertisement i.e. for RBI Assistant 2016 is expected to be released in the month of June 2016. The application process for the same will begin in June 2016. Aspirants willing to appear in the said exam will have to apply online as per the deadlines to be notified in the notice. Initially, the selected candidates will be posted in the RBI’s office within the Recruitment Zone they have applied for.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2016
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in the aggregate (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
- Good knowledge of word processing on PC
- Minimum – Maximum age limit: 18 and 28 years
All the eligible aspirants will have to submit the applications via online mode i.e. through the RBI’s website. There is no provision for the sale of the physical application form. While applying, candidates must provide all the details correctly and make payment of the application fee in the prescribed amount. The fee can be paid using the Internet Banking/Debit or Credit Card. Candidates must have a valid & active email id which shall be used for all the communication purpose on the part of the bank. Details of the email id will be required while filling the application form.
The call letters can be emailed to the successfully registered candidates at their registered email id. While, the e-admit card will also be available for download on the RBI’s website. Candidates must print their call letters in advance as the printed copy of the same is to be carried to the exam centre on the day of the exam. The admit card will bear the details relevant for the candidates.
The exam will consist of the following five objective tests: Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. Candidate will be allotted 02 hours’ time to attempt the test. Each test will have 40 questions; the total number of questions is 200. There will be the penalty for wrong answers.
RBI Assistant Selection Procedure 2016
As per the selection process, the online examination is followed by the Interview. Only those candidates will be eligible for Interviews who will stand sufficiently high in merit based on the aggregate marks obtained by them in the online objective test. Final selection will be made on the combined score obtained based on the performance in the online exam and Interview.
The bank will decide the minimum qualifying score for each of the Objective Tests in the exam on the basis of the number of vacancies to be filled in. Candidates who will satisfy the cutoff marks will be eligible for appearing in the next selection process: Interview. Merely qualifying the objective test separately is not enough as there will also be minimum aggregate cutoff which candidates have to qualify.
The result will be announced within a month after the exam is held. RBI will publish the list of the shortlisted candidates as per their performance in the online exam. At this stage, candidates will not be able to check their scores in the online exam as the Bank has specified clearly that it will not disclose the mark-sheet to candidates. However, the marks of the candidates in the online examination and interview marks will be revealed after the declaration of the final RBI Assistant 2016 result.
