UPSC CMS Cutoff 2016 : Union Public Service Commission will decide the minimum qualifying marks for the Combined Medical Services (UPSC CMS) examination to delimit the number of candidates for the recruitment in the services & posts under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Dept. of Health), Government of India. Candidates who will appear in the CMS 2016 examination shall have to obtain the score more than or equivalent to the UPSC CMS Cutoff 2016 to be considered eligible for appearing in the Personality test. The CMS Examination will be held as a computer-based test. 

The CMS written exam will consists of two papers each of which will have maximum weightage of 250 marks. So, the performance of the candidates will be judged overall out of a total score of 500. It is the discretion of the Commission itself to decide the UPSC CMS Cutoff 2016 for the written examination. Along with the aggregate cutoff, candidates will also have to secure the minimum percentage marks in each of the paper. Candidates who shall not be able to qualify any of the qualifying cut off will be out of the competition.

List of the qualified candidates on the basis of their performance and the cutoff marks will be published on the Commission’s website. It is important to note that the minimum qualifying marks will vary for the reserved category candidates.

How is UPSC CMS Cutoff 2016 applied?

Candidates must be informed that the cutoff is applied at three levels during the overall recruitment process:
  • For qualifying the Online examination to be eligible for Personality Test
  • For the cumulative score assessment for final appointment
